TIMOTHY OBRIEN

Timothy OBrien.png

Timothy OBrien began his musical pursuits after becoming inspired by seeing his father play drums at an extremely young age. Excelling in school band and taking private lessons, he ultimately passed his dad up, moving on to drum corps and jazz studies in college, and working with bands of all styles and genres on various instruments throughout the Chicagoland area.

Since his relocation to Phoenix, Timothy has graduated from ASU with his bachelor’s in Anthropology with a musicology focus, and has released an instrumental solo album titled Mantra. Timothy also studies Indian classical music under Prafulla Athalye, a world renown tabla player.

Marisa Lynch

As long as Marisa Lynch can remember, music has been at the center of her life. She began piano lessons at the age of five, was introduced to the clarinet at age ten, and taught herself to play guitar at twelve. Her love for music grew with every new instrument she learned. In high school, she lettered in marching band and was the section leader of the front ensemble. During those years, she also began singing and playing guitar on her church’s worship team. Her first job at age 17, was giving guitar, piano, ukulele, and voice lessons to kids in her church and community.

She is currently studying music education here in Phoenix and gigs as often as possible in her free time. The only thing as strong as her love for music is her passion for teaching. She caters each lesson to the individual student, placing emphasis on feeling and creativity. She believes that music should be fun and encourages her students to push beyond their limits.
